Director General of CARIFORUM Mr. Percival Marie has urged participants on a training course that was conducted for implementers of EDF funded projects to utilize the training they have received in their everyday jobs.
Mr. Marie was speaking at the closing ceremony of a 10-day training programme for projects funded by the European Development Fund . The programme concluded on Wednesday, October 9, 2018, at the Grand Coastal Hotel in Georgetown Guyana.
In his remarks, the Director General said he hoped the participants had fun during the training since learning ought not to be painful but a fun experience that could be rewarding. He said he hoped that the training opened the participants’ thirst for more information on project design and other topics covered during the course. He also said that the course was conducted because CARIFORUM thought it was important that the persons at the national level, who were responsible for various aspects of implementing CARIFORUM projects and programmes, received training.
